Canada Deal Finder (formerly Tamu Deals) is operated by Salman's Work Inc (“we”, “us”). This policy covers the Canada Deal Finder website and the Canada Deal Finder mobile apps for iOS and Android (the “Service”). It explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account data: the phone number or email address you sign in with (verified with a one-time code), your display name, username, optional bio, and profile photo.
- Location (optional): the city or region you pick so we can show deals and flyers near you. If you tap “Use my location”, we use your device's approximate location to suggest a city. Location is never required.
- Content you submit: deals, comments, votes, and any images you upload.
- Camera and photos: when you take or pick a photo to attach to a deal, the selected image is uploaded to our storage. We do not access your camera or photo library at any other time.
- Device and usage data: basic technical information (device type, OS version, app version, crash logs) used to operate and improve the Service.
How we use information
- To create and secure your account and authenticate sign-ins.
- To display the deals, comments, and profile content you submit.
- To operate the Service, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
- To send you transactional notifications related to your activity.
Service providers
We share data with the following processors only as needed to operate the Service:
- Cloudflare — website hosting, database, authentication sessions, and file storage. Sign-in is managed by the self-hosted Better Auth library.
- Expo / EAS — mobile build delivery and over-the-air updates.
- Resend — delivery of transactional email and email sign-in codes.
- Twilio — delivery and verification of SMS and WhatsApp sign-in codes.
Data retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion at any time (see how to delete your account); we will delete your account and associated content within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Depending on your location you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Contact us at the address below to exercise these rights.
